First edition first print hardback of IN PURSUIT OF CONEY by D. Brian Plummer and published by The Boydell Press in 1991. Signed 'Best Wishes' to a previous owner by Plummer on the title page.The book is in very good condition (green cloth boards with silver lettering to spine) with light creasing to the top and bottom of the spine. The top and front page edges are lightly age spotted. The book is in a very good clipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the top and bottom of the front cover and spine and to the top of the back cover, which is lightly age spotted. There is also age spotting inside the jacket. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions. There is a faded bookshop stamp on the front endpaper.
In Pursuit of Coney is Brian Plummer at his best. In the manner of his early books, combining formidable experience with racy style, he turns his attention - not for the first time, but now exhaustively - to the rabbit.
