Third edition slipcased hardback of OCEAN PASSAGES FOR THE WORLD by Commander H.L. Jenkins (Royal Navy) and published by The Hydrographer of the Navy in 1973.The book is in very good condition (navy blue cloth boards with gold lettering to spine and front) with light creasing to the top and bottom of the spine which is lightly faded. The slipcase is in good- condition with some staining to the boards and creasing and rubbing to the corners. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.
This edition of Ocean Passages for the World contains the latest information (along with diagrams, maps, charts and graphs) on vessel routes and passages, information on the oceans, such as the North and South Atlantic, and their weather patterns, as well as miscellaneous information for power vessels, all received in the Hydrographic Department in 1973. This edition supercedes the Second Edition.
Also includes a dark blue wallet containing Logarithmic Speed, Time and Distance Scale and 8 maps showing vessel routes, ocean currents, Home Waters Catalogue among others.
