The book is in very good condition (brown cloth boards with gold lettering to spine) with a small indentation to the bottom of the front board and light creasing to the bottom of the spine. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket with light creasing to the bottom of the front cover and spine. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

Four Thousand Lives is not just a story of salvation, but also a revealing account of how a small English community reacted to the arrival of so many German Jews in their midst.
