First folio printing slipcased hardback of THE PICKWICK PAPERS (The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club) by Charles Dickens (with Introduction by Christopher Hibbert and illustrations by Charles Keeping). Published by The Folio Society in 1981. Originally published in book form in 1837. Signed by Keeping on the half title page.

The book is in near fine condition (orange decorated boards with gilt design and lettering to spine) with no significant wear. The book is in a very good slipcase that has light handling and storage wear.

This first printing by the Folio Society is photoset in eleven point lasercomp imprint and printed by Fletcher & Son Ltd, Norwich, on Sommerville opaque wove paper.
