Limited edition hardback set of PETER SIMPLE (Volumes 1 and 2) by Captain Frederick Marryat (Etchings and drawings by R.W. Buss and A Biographical Essay by Michael Sadleir) and published by Constable & Co Ltd in 1929. One of a limited edition of 750 copies.The books are in very good condition (embossed burgundy leather boards with gilt lettering to spines) with light creasing to the top and bottom of the spines which have some light colour fading. Gilt top page edges and light age spotting to rough cut front and bottom page edges. No dust jackets as issued(?). Internally some pages are lightly age spotted with some light yellowing but are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or inscriptions.
