First edition first print hardback of CHAMPIONS AGAIN (The Story of United's Unique Double) by Bryan Robson (with Tom Tyrrell) and published by Partridge Press in 1993. Signed to a previous owner by Robson on the title page.The book is in very good condition (black cloth boards with gold lettering to spine) with very light creasing to the top of the spine and light bumping to the bottom corner of the back board. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the top of the front and back covers and top and bottom of the spine. Internally the pages are age-tanned but otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
Champions Again begins with the celebrations which followed the 1993 Premier League Championship success. But for the first time in his career Bryan's position was threatened by the arrival of a player who was brought to replace him at the club. As he takes us through the season Bryan reveals his frustration at being left out of the side for vital games and his determination to win back his place, even at the age of thirty-seven. As the season wore on, injuries, suspensions and sheer tiredness took their toll and Bryan was to play an increasingly crucial role.
