First edition first print hardback of INSPECTOR MOUSE by Bernard Stone and Ralph Steadman and published by Andersen Press Ltd in 1980. Signed by Stone and Steadman on the title page Previous owner's inscription on the front endpaper and a childish scribble on the half title page. Please refer to the images.

The book is in good condition (pictorial boards with black lettering to the boards and spine) with light rubbing and creasing to the top and bottom of the spine and light rubbing to the top edge and top and bottom corners of the front cover. No dust jacket as issued. Internally the front endpaper has some small purple stains but otherwise pages are clean and tight and there are no tears.

After the great success of Emergency Mouse, Bernard Stone has done it again. He has woven a tale of disarming simplicity as well as intriguing subtlety, to capture the minds of young and old alike. The story is superbly enhanced with a magnificent fireworks display of Ralph Steadman's art at its most joyful, exuberant and eye twinkling in his mischievous portrayal of certain well-known folk heroes.
