First reprint edition, hardback of BILL BADGER'S VOYAGE TO THE WORLD'S END (Early Bid Series No. 12) by 'BB' (Denys Watkins-Pitchford) and published by Kaye & Ward Ltd in 1976.The book is in very good condition (pictorial boards with black lettering to spine and front) with age spotting to the top page edges. The dust jacket, which is not price clipped, is in very good+ condition with very light creasing to the top of the spine. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.
Captain Bill Badger and his good friends Matty the Vole and Izzybizzy Hedgehog set off on a journey to World's End, where they have been told they can have their leaky old barge made new again. When they break down on the way Izzybizzy decides to put on his hobby-nobby boots and bobble cap and go ashore to do some shopping on Brocklehampton.
The little hedgehog feels lost and lonely in the large town until a friendly sheepdog called 'Tatters' comes to his rescue. But just as he is showing Izzy the way back to the canal a police van comes along and whisks Tatters off to the dog's home. Sadly Izzy sets off again, but this time it's with a different object in mind - to help poor Tatters to escape from the dog's prison!
