33rpm LP Record of ASD 2433 Brahms SYMPHONY NO 4 in E minor, Op. 98 and the Academic Festival Overture, featuring the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir John Barbirolli. It was issued on the stereo EMI red semi circle label in 1968. First UK pressing. Ultrasonically cleaned.The record itself is graded excellent with the odd light surface mark visible when viewed under normal house lighting. Play-tested on an audio-technica turntable. Superb sound quality, with no major issues, just a couple of pops on each side. Otherwise more or less faultless playback.
Some spindle wear. Labels clean. No discernible spider marks.
The outer sleeve is graded very good, with light handling, storage and slight creasing to front cover. The pinched spine is intact and strong with no loss to the lettering. The inner sleeve has minimal age tanning but has no splits or tears.
