First edition, first print hardback of THE SUN SHINES ON WOOLVERTON - Essays and Sketches, by Arthur Llewelyn Matthison and published by Cornish Brothers Ltd., Birmingham in 1957. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper.

The book is in good condition (Clean mustard yellow colour cloth boards and red lettering on the spine) with some wear to the yellow paper dust jacket which is not price clipped (some creasing to the edges, some chipping to corners and the spine edges, small closed tears to top spine corners, slight creasing along the folding edge at the front, slight fading to the spine and around the edges at the back and some foxing in parts). Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions. There is some foxing and tanning to the first and last few pages and page ends.
