Arthur Fowweather UP DOWN First Edition Triple Signed

First edition, first print hardback of UP DOWN (Memoirs: Volume Two) by Arthur Fowweather and self published by Arthur Fowweather in 1981. Illustrations by Rowel Friers and with an Introduction by Arthur Mitchell. Signed by Fowweather, Friers and Mitchell on the front endpaper.

The book is in good condition (green cloth boards with gold lettering to spine) with creasing to the top and bottom of the spine. The book is in a good- unclipped dust jacket that has creasing along the top of the front and back cover and open tears at the bottom back cover and top and bottom of the spine. There is also a closed tear to the top of the front cover and an open tear to the bottom corner of the dust jacket. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

Here is the book which many have looked forward to in eager anticipation - the second volume of Arthur Fowweather's memoirs. 'UP DOWN' will undoubtedly provide as many happy hours for its readers as did its predecessor 'ONE SMALL HEAD'.

'UP DOWN' is the rather more sedate story of middle age and happy retirement - the often-intense narrative of the Headmaster devoted to his charges who nevertheless allows us constant glimpses of his impish sense of humour.

The second volume is, like the first, a valuable contribution to the educational and social history of our Province.
