Arthur Fowweather ONE SMALL HEAD First Edition Triple Signed

First edition, first print hardback of ONE SMALL HEAD (Memoirs: Volume One) by Arthur Fowweather and self published by Arthur Fowweather, in 1980. Illustrated by Rowel Friers and with an Introduction by Walter Love. Signed and dated by Fowweather, Friers and Love on the front endpaper.

The book is in good condition (blue cloth boards with gold lettering to spine) with wear on the top of the front cover and creasing to the spine which is slightly weak resulting in a slight lean. The book is in a very good- unclipped dust jacket with creasing and wear to the top of the front and back cover and spine. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

The translation of a raw English youth into a true lover of Ireland is no new phenomenon; but Arthur Fowweather details for us the metamorphosis of a merry laughing town-dweller from darkest Lancashire into a man that has learned to understand and truly care for the people among whom his lot has been cast - in riot-torn Donegal, depressed County Antrim and in historically magnificent Down.

many are the surprises, even gentle shocks, in store for the reader, especially if that reader happens to also be an ex-pupil. "The Head's" adventures range from the hilarious to the sombre, from the dangerous to the uplifting.
