First edition first print hardback of THE TURN OF THE TIDE (Based on the War Diaries of Field Marshal Viscount Alanbrooke) by Arthur Bryant and published by Collins in 1957. Signed with an inscription to a previous owner by Bryant on the title page.The book is in very good condition (black cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with light creasing to the top and bottom of the spine and light colour fading to the boards. The page edges are lightly age tanned. The book is in a good unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the top and bottom of both covers and spine, one-inch closed tears to each corner of the front cover and along the top edge of the spine which also has a small open tear to the bottom edge and a one-inch closed tear to the bottom of the back cover. There is also some light colour fading to the spine and light age staining to the covers. Internally the pages are very lightly yellowed and are lightly creased but otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
