Anthony Trollope THE SMALL HOUSE AT ALLINGTON Folio Society 1979

First Folio printing slipcased hardback of THE SMALL HOUSE AT ALLINGTON (fifth book in the Barchester series) by Anthony Trollope, with an introduction by Julian Symons and drawings by Peter Reddick. Published by The Folio Society in 1979.

The book is in near fine condition (patterned quarterbound boards with gilt lettering to cloth spine) with light rubbing to corners. The book is in a very good slipcase that has light rubbing to the corners and edges and cracking to the top edge of the spine.

As with all of Trollope, it is beautifully written and draws the reader into its many interwoven tales.

Former Prime Minister John Major declared this particular novel to be his favourite book of all time, and in doing so, he was joining the good company of the countless Trollope fans who have ensured this work's lasting fame, and helped to enshrine its place as a literary classic.
