First edition first print hardback of THE WORLD OF WALLACE AND GROMIT by Andy Lane and published by Boxtree, Pan MacMillan Ltd in 2004. Signed, dated and inscribed to a previous owner by Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park on the half title page on which a Waterstone's book signing event leaflet is attached. With full numberline '9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1'. There is another Waterstone's leaflet attached to the front endpaper.

The book is in near fine condition (red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with only minor bumping to the top and bottom of the spine. The book is in a near fine unclipped dust jacket which has minor creasing to the edges. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or inscriptions.

Welcome to the truly wonderful world of 'Wallace and Gromit'. We first met the eccentric inventor and his faithful in 'A Grand Day Out', when they built a rocket and flew to the moon to look for cheese. Since then they have foiled dastardly criminal penguin 'Feathers' who was intent on robbing the local museum, thwarted a sheep-rustling ring and adopted a rather hungry and adorable sheep called Shaun...

This is their story - their adventures on and off screen - and it tells how from a doodle in a sketchbook the diminutive plasticine pair went on to capture the hearts of millions. Including original concept artwork by Nick Park, insights into stop-motion animation and the real story of the time they went missing in New York, making front page headlines in the world's press, all the behind-the-scenes secrets are revealed here for the first time.
