The book is in as new condition (orange boards with white lettering to spine) with no significant wear. The book is in an as new unclipped dust jacket which is protected in an archival sleeve and also has no wear to speak of. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
In 2001, 148 tattered and mould-covered notebooks were discovered lying among broken bricks in a skip on a building site in Cambridge. Tens of thousands of pages were filled to the edges with urgent handwriting.
