Information
First edition first print hardback of M.A.C: A Medium Sized Computer by A. F. Watson and published by Hepburn & Sons Ltd for The Morgan Crucible Co. Ltd. (date unspecified but possibly 1956). Includes errata slip.

The book is in very good condition (grey boards) with light rubbing and bumping to the edges and corners and very light staining to the boards. No dust jacket as issued. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or inscriptions.

M.A.C. stands for Morgan Automatic Computer. This book is based upon a series of notes which were prepared to enable the author to train several members of The Morgan Crucible Company Ltd. in various aspects of the use of a Hollerith Type H.E.C. 4 computer. Although it deals specifically with one type of computer, it does detail the experiences associated with its application to a commercial organisation. It is felt that those interested in the use of a medium sized computer may find it of some general interest.
