First edition, first print hardback of THE LOCOMOTIVE JOURNAL VOL.49 Edited by W.J.P. Squance and published in 1936. Signed by the editor Squance on the dedication page, also signed by two previous owners on the front endpaper and dedication page. Marbled page edges.

The book is in good+ condition (quarterbound leather boards with gold lettering to banded spine) with light wear to the spine which has resulted in some loss to the title plate, and rubbing to the front and back covers. No dust jacket as issued. Internally, the pages are tanned towards the edges, but are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
