1847 Edition CONSTITUTIONS OF FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS Signed Hardback
1847 tenth edition hardback of CONSTITUTIONS OF FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS by William Henry White and privately published with the Authority of the United Grand Lodge in 1847. Signed by White as Grand Secretary. This publication was the last one to feature the Secretary's handwritten signature - all subsequent editions bore facsimile signatures.
The book is in very good condition for its age (blue cloth boards with gold lettering to front) with creasing and small indentations to the top and bottom edges of the front and back covers, light bumping to the corners and creasing with rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine. The page edges are soiled with age (though not grubby). Internally, the front and back endpapers are heavily age spotted and the other pages are very lightly age spotted and tanned but are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears and no other inscriptions.
The 1847 Book of Constitutions of the Freemasons, officially the 10th Edition of Charges and Regulations made by The Grand Lodge. Contains illustrations of Masonic collars and jewels and an advert on Dr. Oliver's works on Freemasonry.
