33rpm 12-track LP Record of ALP 1681 THE BEST OF GIGLI, featuring the tenor Benjamino Gigli singing arias from various operas performed between 1915 and 1937. It was issued on the EMI/HMV Red and Gold mono label in 1959 and is a first pressing. 1N/1N matrices. No stereo version was issued.
The record itself is in a little bit less than excellent condition, with one or two light visible scratches/marks, no more than you would expect from a 50-year old record. Excellent sound quality, with NO jumps, loud pops, or excessive crackle. There is a little background noise, as can also be expected, a little light crackle at the start of each side, as well as the odd light tick. But there are no serious blemishes and certainly nothing to spoil the overall listening experience. Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels very clean, very light spider marks.
The outer sleeve is in better than excellent condition, with just a little rubbing to the open edges and light bumping to the corners. The inner sleeve has no wear to speak of.
